Applications are invited for the following posts tenable at Mumbai:

1.
ENGINEER (C) [CIVIL] : One Post [Other Backward Class] ; Pay Band (PB-3) : Rs.15600-39100 + Grade Pay : Rs.5400/- ; TME : Rs.49,860/- ; HQ : Mumbai.

Qualification: i) B.E. / B. Tech. in Civil Engineering (full time course) from a recognized university/institute with more than 60% marks in the aggregate, is essential. Familiarity with computers and knowledge of software and applications relevant to developing bill of quantities, cost estimates, tender specifications etc. is desirable.

Experience: One to two year’s experience after graduation in major aspects of Civil Engineering works is essential. Experience in supervision and construction of new buildings, laboratories, roads and exposure to restoration works of old buildings/structures is desirable.

Age: Below 31 years. 

2.
ASSISTANT SECURITY OFFICER (A) : Two Posts [1-Scheduled Caste & 1-Other Backward Class] ;                            Pay Band (PB-2) : Rs.9300-34800 + Grade Pay : Rs.4200/- ; TME : Rs.­­­­­31,230/- ; HQ : Mumbai.

Qualification : (i) Graduate (ii) Knowledge of use of personal computers and applications  (iii) NCC Certificate (C) OR  Advanced Civil Defence Course Certificate/Home Guard Training.

Experience : Five years experience in Security in a large and reputed PSU/Industry/Research Institutions. 

Physical Fitness    : Height more than 165 cms.   ;   Chest 80-85 cms.

                                   Weight corresponding  to  height and age as per medical standard.

Eye sight                : The minimum distance vision should  be  6/6  and  6/9 both   eyes   without   glasses  and  colour
                                   recognition.

TRADESMAN (B) : Eight Posts  ; Pay Band (PB-1) : Rs.5200-20200 + Grade Pay : Rs.2000/- ;  TME :  Rs.18,846/- ;  HQ : Mumbai.

Qualification & Experience:  i) S.S.C. OR Equivalent. ii) ITI i.e. National Trade Certificate (NTC) (60% marks) awarded by National Council of Vocational Training (NCVT) with two years experience.

OR

ITI i.e. National Trade Certificate (NTC) (60% marks) awarded by National Council of Vocational Training (NCVT) & National Apprenticeship Certificate (NAC) with one year experience.

OR

National Apprenticeship Certificate (NAC) (60% marks) awarded by National Council of Vocational Training (NCVT) with one year experience.

Age: Below 28 years for Unreserved candidates, below 31 years for Other Backward Class, below 33 years for Scheduled Caste / Tribe candidates. 

  1. Tradesman (B) – Masonry - One Post [Unreserved] ;

Qualification : As mentioned above.

Experience: Should have experience in doing brick masonry, plastering, tiling and other site specific masonry maintenance works.  Should have knowledge of concrete mixes applied in concreting and mortar mixes applied in plastering works.  Should have knowledge of the use of speciality chemicals in waterproofing and restoration works.  Should be well-versed in hands-on implementation.

  1. Tradesman (B) – Mechanical - Two Posts [1-Unreserved ; 1-Other Backward Class]

Qualification : As mentioned above.

Experience: Experience in fitting as applied to maintenance related works at site.  Should be conversant with the maintenance of door closers, kitchen equipments.  Should be able to carry out gas cutting & welding as applied to maintenance jobs.

  1. Tradesman (B) – Audio Visual Services – One Post [Unreserved]

Qualification : As mentioned above with ITI / NAC in the trade of Mechanic consumer electronics or Mechanic(Radio & TV) or Electronic Mechanic or Information Technology & Electronics System Maintenance.

Experience: Experience in doing operation and maintenance of audio visual equipment like projector, TV,                              microphones, amplifiers, mixers, video conferencing system etc. in production studios and at other locations where audiovisual presentations are delivered, such as lecture theatres and conference venues or live events such as concerts, festivals, sporting events and entertainment venues.

Desirable: Ability to speak, read, write and understand basic English; good listening skills, positive interpersonal and communication skills and working knowledge of computer.

  1. Tradesman (B) – Turner – One Post [Unreserved]

Qualification: As mentioned above with ITI / NAC in the trade of Turner.

Experience:  Experience in doing highly precision jobs on Turning machines and CNC Lathe machine operation and programming.   Candidate should be able to read the machine drawings/blue print.

Qualification : As mentioned above with ITI / NAC in the trade of Machinist

Experience:  Experience in doing highly precision jobs on Milling machine and CNC Milling machine operation and programming. Candidate should be able to read the machine drawing/blue print.

  1. Tradesman (B) – Fitter One Post [Scheduled Tribe]

Qualification : As mentioned above with ITI / NAC in the trade of Fitter

Experience: Experience in bench fitting, sheet metal and varied fabrication work.  Candidate should be able to read drawing/blue prints and should have knowledge in use of precision measuring instruments.  Candidate having experience in Tool & Die-making will be preferred.

  1. Tradesman (B) – Mechanic Machine Tools Maintenance One Post [Unreserved]

Qualification: As mentioned above with ITC / NAC in the trade of Millwright Fitter or Mechanic Machine Tools Maintenance.

Experience:  Experience as a Maintenance Fitter in Medium/Large Machine shop having Lathes, Milling Machines, Press, Hydraulic Machines, CNC Machines and experience in bench fitting, sheet metal and varied fabrication work.  Candidate should be able to read drawing/blue print and have knowledge of using precision measuring instruments.

Selected candidates will be required to work in shifts.

WORK ASSISTANT : Four Posts; Pay Band (PB-1) : Rs.5200-20200 + Grade Pay : Rs.1800/- ; TME : Rs.15,172/- ;   HQ : Mumbai.

Qualification: S.S.C. OR Equivalent from a recognized Board.

OR

Industrial Training Institute (ITI) pass certificate from a recognized institute (where technical qualifications are considered necessary, ITI in the relevant subject may be prescribed as the minimum qualification).

Age : Below 28 years for Unreserved candidates, below 31 years for Other Backward Class, below 33 years for Scheduled Caste candidates.

i)                     Work Assistant – A/C - One Post [Other Backward Class] ;

       Qualification: As mentioned above.

Experience: One year experience in air-conditioning trade involving servicing of centrifugal chilling plants, air handling units, fan coil units, other type of air-conditioning units and water coolers.

ii)                   Work Assistant – Three Posts [ 2- Unreserved; 1-Scheduled Caste]

       Qualification: As mentioned above. 
                                                                                                             
Experience:  Minimum 1 years of working experience in a medium size workshop engaged in Carpentry, Sheet metal fabrication, machining operation, welding and should have experience of cutting, handling moving and lifting heavy raw materials like metal bars and plates, wooden planks, gas cylinders, machine parts and other associated materials and general upkeep of machines and workshop.

LIBRARY TRAINEE : 4 Posts (temporary for a period of one year) : Consolidated Stipend : Rs.8,000/- p.m.                          (all inclusive) ; HQ: Mumbai.

Qualification: Graduate (Science preferable) and Degree in Library Science from a recognized University. The candidates who have appeared for final year Exam and are awaiting results can also apply.

Age: Below 28 years.

The selected Trainees may have to work in shifts between 0745 hours and 2200 hours (including Saturdays, Sundays, and other holidays) whenever instructed to do so.

TME: Total monthly emoluments.

Higher starting salary could be considered to candidates at sr.no. 1, 2, 3 & 4.  Candidates at sr. no. 1, 2, 3 & 4 are liable to be transferred to other Centres/Field Stations of the Institute, if required.

Prescribed age should not exceed as on January 1, 2013.

Outstation candidates called  for interview for the posts at sr.no. 1 & 2 and outstation SC/ST candidates called for interview for the posts at sr. no. 3(vi) & 4 (ii) will be paid single second class return train fare for the journey by the shortest route from the nearest railway station of their place of residence to the place of interview on the production of  photocopies of onward and return journey tickets.
