Professor
- A Professor should be an eminent scholar with evidence of outstanding scholarship and international recognition.
- Essential Qualifications:Ph.D. degree from a recognized University/Institution; and Master’s Degree in relevant subject area with at least 60% marks or equivalent grade
Associate Professor of Sociology :
Ph.D. degree from a recognized University/Institution; and Master’s Degree in relevant subject area with at least 60% marks or equivalent grade (for Science subjects); OR with at least 55% marks or equivalent grade
Preferable areas: Gender and sexuality, development and related issues, South Asian history, Politics and Culture
Assistant Professor of Sociology :
Ph.D. degree from a recognized University/Institution; and Master’s Degree in relevant subject area with at least 60% marks or equivalent grade
Preferable areas: Gender and sexuality, development and related issues, South Asian history, Politics and Culture.
Assistant Professor of Life Sciences and Biotechnology:
Position 1: Structural Biology / bio-imaging
Ph.D. degree in Life Sciences / Biochemistry / Biophysics / Structural Biology and related areas. MSc /M.Tech in Life Sciences / Biophysics or related areas
Position 2: Biochemical engineering with emphasis on bio-processes and bioreactors
Ph.D. degree in Biochemical engineering, bio-reactor management or related areas M.Tech in Biochemical Engineering / Biotechnology. Engineering graduates will be preferred
Salary:
The annual basic salary range at SAU is US$ 30,000 to 40,000 for the position of Professor, US$ 20,000 to 30,000 for Associate Professor, and US$ 15,000 to 20,000 for Assistant Professor.
