School of Science organizes “National Symposium on Multidisciplinary Research in Biomedical and Applied Sciences”

National Education Day is celebrated every year by the Ministry of Human Resource Development, Government of India, to commemorate the birth anniversary of Maulana Abul Kalam Azad, a great freedom fighter, an educationist and the first Education Minister of Independent India. It is a tribute to his contributions to the cause of education in India.
School of Science is celebrating the National Education Day this year as a “National Symposium on Multidisciplinary Research in Biomedical and Applied Sciences”. The symposium aims to facilitate dissemination to the young graduate, post-graduate, Ph.D. students and post-doctoral scientists, to state-of-the-art technology and areas of specialization in multidisciplinary facets of Biomedical and Applied sciences in the field of scientific advancement and the translational research. Biomedical/Chemical and Statistical data provides critical tools in basic understanding of the biology of human diseases, leading to rapid, highly sensitive and specific clinical diagnosis, better and shorter treatment and targeted therapy, reducing side effects of cytotoxic drugs and long term therapy for infectious/genetic diseases as also non-communicable diseases including cancer. The Symposium will also highlight the translational phytopharmacology and nanosciences in drug development and drug deliveries. The multidisciplinary approach to science will highlight the path of newer technologies and innovations.
